Report: Tom Brady Injured Ligament In Throwing Hand Early In Patriots Season

There’s an explanation for Tom Brady‘s struggles early in the New England Patriots’ season.

The Patriots quarterback suffered an injured ligament in his throwing hand, according to NFL Network’s Albert Breer. Brady’s hand appeared swollen during the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Brady said his hand was “perfect” after the game, which obviously was not the case. Brady’s injury would not have required surgery, according to Breer, but it was painful to throw through.

The injury is healed now. The Patriots quarterback will need it to be 100 percent on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos.
