St. Louis Blues Goalie Brian Elliott’s Mask Has Seen Better Days (Photos)

Goalie masks are built to withstand 100-mph slapshots, but they aren’t indestructible, as St. Louis Blues goalie Brian Elliott found out firsthand.

Elliott tweeted out a photo Friday of his helmet, which had somehow been almost completely flattened. The netminder doesn’t give any specifics about how the mask got so warped, but we’d be willing to bet it fell victim to the wheels of the equipment truck.
