Vote: Is Adam Vinatieri a Hall of Famer?

The New England Patriots will be facing some familiar faces Saturday night when they take on the Indianapolis Colts, but could one of them be a future Hall of Famer?

In addition to Deion Branch, who signed with the Colts on Monday, the Pats will also square off against 41-year-old Adam Vinatieri. The kicker has proven that age is just a number once again in Indianapolis, making a career-high 34 field goals and boasting an 87.5 percent conversion rate this season — the fifth best of his career.

After spending 10 seasons with the Patriots and becoming something of an icon in New England with his clutch-kicking abilities, Vinatieri joined the Colts as a free agent.Vinatieri’s game-winning field goals in two Super Bowls with the Pats are forever etched in New England lore, and by the time he finished his final season with the team, he had racked up 18 game-winning field goals with less than a minute remaining.

The two-time Pro Bowler has experienced immense success throughout his entire 18-year NFL career, holding records for most postseason field goals in a career (42), most field goals in Super Bowls (seven) and total points in a single postseason (49).

The numbers speak for themselves, but special team specialists have faced an uphill battle when it comes to getting into the Hall of Fame. Vinatieri has as good of a chance as any to be enshrined in Canton, but do you think he is a Hall of Famer?
