Harvard Hockey Players Push Zamboni Off Ice After Machine Breaks Down (Photos)

The ol’ Zamboni-breaks-down-and-delays-the-game-two-hours tactic — oldest trick in the book.

The Harvard men’s ice hockey team got an added workout between periods Friday when the Zamboni broke down on the ice. When staff were unable to get the Zamboni up and running again, six Harvard players took to the ice to help move the large vehicle.

The Friday night home game against Dartmouth was a big Eastern College Athletic Conference matchup, and it would seem the delay did not phase Harvard players as they went on to win 3-0.

The Zamboni was later revived and went on to fulfill its ice-clearing duties.
