Tim Thomas Falls Down During Capitals Breakaway, Still Makes Amazing Save (Video)

Florida Panthers goaltender Tim Thomas entered the discussion for NHL save of the year in Thursday night’s game against the Washington Capitals.

With the score tied 4-4 and less than five minutes remaining in the third period, Capitals defenseman Mike Green was all alone on a breakaway when Thomas lost his balance and fell in the crease. Despite being on his back, though, Thomas made a remarkable glove save on Green.
