Barry Bonds Arrives At Giants Camp, Says He Belongs In Hall Of Fame (Video)

Barry Bonds arrived at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona on Monday to start his weeklong stint as a special instructor for the San Francisco Giants.

“It feels really good to be back,” Bonds told reporters at a press conference. “It feels good to participate in this and give back to the game that I love. I’m going to have a lot of fun doing this.”

The 49-year-old, who hasn’t been involved with MLB since he last played in 2007, will help as a hitting instructor this week.

The all-time home run leader said he should “without a doubt” be in the Baseball Hall of Fame, according to the San Jose Mercury News. When asked about his controversial history with performance-enhancing drugs, Bonds refused to continue the conversation.

“I already went to court, and that’s where I’ll leave it,” Bonds said. “Anything outside of that doesn’t need to be commented on.”
