Darrelle Revis To Patriots ‘Going To Happen,’ Member Of His Camp Says

Darrelle Revis could be headed to Foxboro, according to a friend of the cornerback.

A member of the Revis camp told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News on Wednesday that if Revis is released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he will join the New England Patriots.

“It’s going to happen,” the source reportedly said.

The Bucs officially cut Revis at the self-imposed 4 p.m. ET deadline to trade the three-time All-Pro, making him a free agent. The Patriots were one of several teams, along with the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants, who contacted the Bucs about a potential trade for Revis earlier in free agency, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
