Guion went to Green Bay after making his first free-agent visit to the New England Patriots.
The move comes just two days after the Packers made a splash by signing defensive end Julius Peppers from another NFC North rival, the Chicago Bears.
Guion, a fifth-round draft pick out of Florida State, had spent the last six years with the Vikings, starting 28 games over the last two seasons.
