When the Boston Red Sox go to the White House on Tuesday to celebrate their 2013 World Series championship, they will bring a special gift for President Barack Obama.
Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes ordered patriotic blazers for his teammates to wear, and he didn’t forget to have one made for the most powerful man in the world. The Red Sox will be the second Boston team to visit the White House during the Obama administration (the Boston Bruins, in 2011, were the other).
