Each year, golf’s greatest take to Augusta National for The Masters, where they spend four days duking it out on the pristine Georgia course.
While watching The Masters can be a very relaxing sports experience, there is some additional excitement each year as golf fans are reintroduced to the various pros and their significant others.
If one thing is certain, it’s that golfers have a knack for snagging beautiful wives and girlfriends. The most famous of the ladies would have to be Phil Mickelson’s wife of 18 years, Amy. Phil famously suspended his PGA Tour play when Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. This is Phil Mickelson’s 23rd Masters appearance.
The “it girl” of this year’s golf season is Dustin Johnson’s fiancée, Paulina Gretzky. The daughter of NHL great Wayne Gretzky recently created media waves when she appeared on the cover of Golf Digest.
There’s bound to be athletic power couples in every arena, and golf is no different. Rory McIlroy is engaged to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, who accompanied her guy on the course Wednesday while sporting bright pink hair.
Jason Dufner’s wife, Amanda, is a lovely addition to the beautiful scenery, though the two are definitely one of more oddly matched couples in professional sports. Rickie Fowler, 25, found a woman who knows the game inside and out in pro golfer Odin Browne’s daughter, Alexandra.
