Donald Trump Restates Interest In Buying Buffalo Bills

The next Donald Trump project might look less like a tower and more like an NFL team.

The entrepreneur is very interested in buying the Buffalo Bills, The Buffalo News reports.

“I’m going to give it a heavy shot,” Trump told The Buffalo News. “I would love to do it, and if I can do it I’m keeping it in Buffalo.”

Trump has reportedly spoken to Bills president and CEO Russ Brandon twice about purchasing the team. While other possible suitors include Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula, former Sabres owner Tom Golisano and rock star Jon Bon Jovi, Trump is the only buyer to publicly state his interest.

The NFL prohibits all personnel from having any involvement with gambling operations, a possible problem for Trump as the Trump Taj Mahal and the Trump Plaza are two casinos he owns in Atlantic City. Trump, however, believes this to be a non-issue.

“It’s a public company, and I could sell instantaneously,” Trump said to The Buffalo News. “So that wouldn’t be a conflict at all.”

High-ranking Bills officials told The Buffalo News that the sale could be finalized as soon as October.
