Jeff Teague Hits Incredible Shot, Imitates Michael Jordan Shrug (Video)

Jeff Teague is no Michael Jordan. Let’s get that out of the way first.

Still, the Atlanta Hawks’ point guard did quite an admirable impression of the basketball legend on Thursday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Indiana Pacers.

With under three minutes to go and time running out on the shot clock, Teague heaved up a desperate one-handed runner from beyond the three point line with Pacer forward Luis Scola’s massive hand in his face. We’ll let you watch the rest.

Teague buried the impossible shot, and TV cameras captured the young star giving a Jordan-esque shrug as he jogged back down the court.

Teague’s shot was as clutch as it was incredible, as it extended Atlanta’s lead to 87-78 with just 2:45 remaining. The shot also benefited from a bit of luck, as replays showed that Teague may have stepped out of bounds before knocking down his circus shot.

The call on the court stood, however, and the Hawks would hold on for a 98-85 win to take a surprising 2-1 series lead over the top-ranked Pacers.
