Johnny Pesky’s 2004 World Series Ring Sells For $69,000 At Auction

Johnny Pesky’s 2004 World Series ring fetched $69,000 at Saturday’s auction at Fenway Park, CBS Boston reports.

The ring, which was valued at $50,000-$100,000, was just one of 235 pieces of memorabilia that Mr. Red Sox had accumulated throughout his illustrious career and were put up for auction. In addition to the 2004 bling, Pesky’s 2007 World Series ring, his 1986 and 1975 American League Championship rings, autographed baseballs, bats and cards, among other items, were also featured at the auction.

Pesky’s 2007 ring also went for a good chunk of change, selling for $29,900.

As a player, coach and manager, Pesky’s time with the Red Sox spanned more than six decades. Pesky spent 61 0f his 73 years in baseball with Boston.

“We are very proud to share with fans a unique life, and a history of baseball stretching over seven decades,” David Pesky, Johnny Pesky’s son, told the Boston Globe.
