Report: Patriots Hosting Florida’s Dominique Easley On Pre-Draft Visit

The New England Patriots are showing heavy interest in Florida defensive tackle Dominique Easley.

The Patriots were one of 17 teams at Easley’s personal pro day Thursday, ESPN’s Jeff Barlis reported. The Patriots will host Easley on a pre-draft visit, DraftInsider.net’s Tony Pauline reported Thursday.

Easley was projected as a first-round pick before tearing his right ACL during practice in September. The former Gator tore his left ACL in 2011, but he recovered to record 4.5 sacks in 2012 as a junior.

Easley now projects as a second-round pick, and if he’s available, he could be a target for the Patriots with their second-round pick (No. 62 overall).

Easley measured in at 6-foot-2, 288 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
