The Patriots were one of 17 teams at Easley’s personal pro day Thursday, ESPN’s Jeff Barlis reported. The Patriots will host Easley on a pre-draft visit, DraftInsider.net’s Tony Pauline reported Thursday.
Easley was projected as a first-round pick before tearing his right ACL during practice in September. The former Gator tore his left ACL in 2011, but he recovered to record 4.5 sacks in 2012 as a junior.
Easley now projects as a second-round pick, and if he’s available, he could be a target for the Patriots with their second-round pick (No. 62 overall).
Easley measured in at 6-foot-2, 288 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
