Report: Rob Gronkowski To Begin Jogging Soon; Patriots Optimistic

The New England Patriots are feeling optimistic about Rob Gronkowski’s recovery from knee surgery.

Gronkowski will begin jogging soon, NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported Friday. The big tight end met with Dr. James Andrews this week and is on schedule following surgery three months ago to repair a torn ACL.

The Patriots are hopeful that Gronkowski could be ready for the start of training camp, though he’ll be “very limited” during the spring for OTAs and minicamp, Breer reported Friday on NFL Network’s “Total Access.”

The Patriots will look to select interior offensive line and defensive line help in the 2014 NFL draft and “maybe a move tight end,” to provide depth behind Gronkowski, Breer reported.

Gronkowski’s recovery is going much better this year than it did last offseason when he had back and multiple forearm surgeries.
