San Francisco’s ‘Batkid’ Throws Out First Pitch At Giants’ Home Opener (Video)

The San Francisco Giants called on their city’s most beloved superhero, Batkid, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Tuesday’s home opener at AT&T Park.

Batkid, aka 5-year-old Miles Scott who is in remission from leukemia, won over America last November when San Francisco and the Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up to help the pint-sized hero fight crime all over the city. In one of his many adventures that day, the young dark knight stopped by San Francisco’s stadium to save the Giants mascot, Lou Seal, from The Penguin.

On Tuesday, Scott made his glorious return to the ballpark and he received a true hero’s welcome as he entered the field in a Batmobile-painted Lamborghini in his full superhero attire.

The youngster waved to the packed crowd that was roaring for him and made his way to the mound — accompanied by a fellow Batman — where he showed off his impressive throwing form to Matt Cain.
