Eagles Trade Running Back Bryce Brown To Bills For 2015 NFL Draft Pick

The Buffalo Bills continue to make major changes to their offense.

The Bills added to their stable of running backs Saturday by acquiring Bryce Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who first broke the news, reported that the pick could become a third-rounder in the 2016 draft. The Eagles later confirmed that and also said it could become a fourth-round pick in the 2016 draft.

The Eagles and Bills also swapped their seventh-round picks in this year’s draft as part of the deal.

Brown, a seventh-round pick by the Eagles in the 2012 NFL draft, didn’t see much action in Philly behind running back LeSean McCoy, but he posted two consecutive 100-yard games while filling in for the injured starter during his rookie season.

Brown joins running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson in Buffalo, along with former Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who was taken with the fourth overall pick in the draft Thursday night. To make room for Watkins, the Bills shipped star wide receiver Stevie Johnson to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday in exchange for a mid-round pick in the 2015 draft.
