Report: Yao Ming, Grant Hill Interested In Buying Clippers (Video)

The list keeps getting longer for potential owners of the Los Angeles Clippers, and now it includes two very recent NBA stars.

According to a report from ESPN.com, both Grant Hill and Yao Ming are interested in forming separate ownership groups to purchase the team.

Hill and Yao join Justin Bieber, Magic Johnson, Rihanna, Oprah, Floyd Mayweather and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on a rapidly-growing list of potential investors in the club.

Also interested in owning the team is billionaire Antony Ressler, a long-time friend of Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Sterling was officially charged on Monday with damaging the NBA through his racist comments and will face a hearing on June 3 that could result in him being stripped of his Clippers ownership.

Sources told ESPN that Yao plans to pursue purchasing the Clippers with a group of Chinese investors, while Hill is in the process of assembling his own group. The 33-year-old Yao already owns the Shanghai Sharks in his native country of China and was reportedly also interested in buying the Milwaukee Bucks last year.

Hill was a member of the Clippers just a year ago, as the 41-year-old ended his illustrious NBA career with one final season in Los Angeles.
