Bear Delays Baseball Game In Alaska, Doesn’t Seem To Scare Players (Video)

In most parts of the baseball-playing world, they have rain delays (and maybe a snow delay or two if you’re in Minnesota or Colorado). In Alaska, they have bear delays.

An American Legion game in Juneau briefly was halted Sunday after this happened:

Yes, that’s a real-life bear moseying around just outside the outfield fence. Nobody seemed to express much concern over the unexpected visitor, though — the players simply waited for it to wander away.

Adversity on the diamond must be nothing new for these kids. After all, they do play on a field that might or might not be an actual frozen tundra.
