Chad Johnson, Now In CFL, Shows Off New Alouettes Uniform (Photo)

Chad Johnson, as you might have heard, is taking his talents north of the border this season.

The former Pro Bowler signed a contract with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes back in April, and he gave fans the first look at him in an Alouettes uniform this week in a photo shoot for the team’s website.

The man formerly known as Ochocinco will look to revive his football career in Canada after failing to catch on in brief stints with the New England Patriots in 2011 and Miami Dolphins in 2012.

He’ll have another recognizable name throwing him the ball in Montreal, as former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith — the 2006 Heisman Trophy winner — signed a new, three-year contract extension with the Alouettes this past offseason. Smith appeared in six CFL games (three starts) last season, throwing for more touchdowns (nine) than he had in his entire four-year NFL career (eight).
