Ten Boston Public Schools students were inducted into the Red Sox Scholars program before Sunday afternoon’s Red Sox-Tampa Bay Rays game at Fenway Park. The rising eighth graders were joined by many of the other 230 students in the program, including 2014 high school and college graduates.

Red Sox Scholars is an award-winning program operated by the Red Sox Foundation that provides mentoring, activities and college scholarships to young students. The program started in 2003, and this year’s college graduates are the first in its history.
