New England Patriots starting left tackle Nate Solder might invest in a safe before he leaves contractors alone in his Foxboro home again.
Police told The Herald News that Manuel Faria, who was insulating Solder’s attic, stole a $10,000 Tiffany ring belonging to Solder’s girlfriend in April and pawned it for $150. Faria was arrested this week on a single count of larceny under $250 by false pretense, The Herald News reported Thursday.
Solder and his girlfriend left the house while the contractors were working in his home and noticed the ring was missing from a jewelry box when they returned. The construction foreman helped track down the ring and notified police and Solder that it was in a Fall River, Mass., pawn shop.
Faria was being held on $1,000 cash bail after being arraigned in Fall River District Court on Wednesday.
