Report: Kevin Garnett Wants To Play One More Season With Brooklyn Nets

Kevin Garnett’s playing status has been in doubt every offseason for years. Those doubts have been even greater now that Garnett is 38 and coming off one of his toughest seasons, statistically speaking.

Garnett has yet to say what his plans are, but one source told ESPN.com’s Marc Stein that Garnett is leaning toward playing one more season for the Brooklyn Nets.

“I think he wants to keep going,” the source reportedly told Stein.

Garnett has one season at $12 million remaining on his current contract. He signed the three-year deal with the Boston Celtics in 2012, amid murmurs that he might retire. He was traded along with Paul Pierce to the Nets on draft night last summer.
