Korean Baseball Player Makes Painful Face-First Slide Into Third (Video)

Sliding is a baseball basic, but that doesn’t mean it can’t go horribly wrong every once in a while.

Jae-gyun Hwang of Korea’s Lotte Giants demonstrated exactly how not to slide during a game Thursday, as he took a face-first digger into third base. It’s pretty painful to watch, especially in slow motion.

And to add insult to actual injury, Hwang was ruled (very) out.
