Retired NHLer Teemu Selanne Considering Return To Finnish Club Jokerit

Teemu Selanne has retired from the NHL, but that doesn’t mean his career as a professional hockey player is over.

According to Sports.ru, the 44-year-old forward who last played for the Anaheim Ducks in 2013-14 is considering a move back to Finnish club Jokerit.

“Of course, we have discussed this topic,” Selanne said. “Of course, it would be nice to go back on the ice again.”

Selanne played for Jokerit as a young player before coming to the NHL and making his debut with the Winnipeg Jets. Jokerit will be part of the KHL for the first time in 2014-15.

Selanne retired from the NHL with 684 goals in 1,451 games over 21 seasons.
