Minnesota Targets Pulling Teddy ‘Bridewater’ Shirts From Shelves (Photo)

With the arrival of Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, Targets all over the state stocked their shelves with jersey-style T-shirts with his name and number.

But someone didn’t proofread them.

The T-shirts actually all read “Bridewater,” and a friend of a Star Tribune columnist happened to catch it.

“Even the most meticulous editor unfortunately sees an error slip through to the printer from time to time,” Target spokesperson Joshua Thomas said.

Thomas declined to tell The Star Tribune how many shirts were made, where they were made or what would happen to them, but he did say that replacement shirts will arrive “in the next few weeks.”

A similar mistake happened in July in Major League Baseball, where the Colorado Rockies gave away misspelled Troy Tulowitzki shirts.
