Report: Vitor Faverani Arrested For Alleged Drunk Driving After Car Accident

Just when it seemed like a slow summer for the Boston Celtics, some news pops up concerning one of their players. Only it’s not the type of news anyone wants to see.

Vitor Faverani was arrested for drunk driving after a car accident in Valencia, Spain, according to various reports. La Opinión de Málaga reports he was three times above the legal blood alcohol limit, according to police. It appears it was a multiple-vehicle accident, but it does not sound like anyone was seriously hurt.

Faverani, 26, has been rehabbing from a torn meniscus in his left knee that ended his season in February. He averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 37 appearances with the Celtics last season.
