Bruins Announce David Krejci’s Six-Year, $43.5M Contract Extension

Reports of David Krejci agreeing to a six-year contract extension worth $43.5 million ($7.25 million AAV) broke Wednesday afternoon, and the Boston Bruins formally announced it Thursday.

According to TSN’s Aaron Ward, Krejci will receive $7.25 million in salary for the first two years, of the deal, $7.5 million in the middle two years and $7 million in the final two seasons.

The extension runs through the 2020-21 season and expires when Krejci is 34 years old.

Krejci has 378 points (110 goals, 268 assists) in 504 career regular-season games and 77 points (29 goals, 48 assists) in 93 Stanley Cup playoff contests. He was a second-round pick (63rd overall) by the Bruins in the 2004 NHL draft.
