Jordan Subban Loses Battle With Door, Says He Now Looks Like Lloyd Christmas

Losing a tooth here and there is just another day in the life of a hockey player, but these casualties typically occur on the ice.

But that wasn’t the case for Vancouver Canucks defenseman Jordan Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens star P.K. Subban and Boston Bruins goaltender Malcolm Subban. The 19-year-old lost a fight, but it wasn’t with an opposing player — it was with a hotel room door.

Subban detailed what happened on a blog he’s been writing for the team’s official site, and he even throws in a phenomenal “Dumb & Dumber” reference to make the story all the better.

“After we got back to the hotel last night, I was in my room just hanging out when I heard some of the boys in the hallway. I poked my head out the door to see where they were headed, they said to eat and I had already had a bite, so I turned to go back into my room.

“BAM.

“I don’t know what the heck happened, but next thing I knew half my front tooth was on the floor and there was a hole in the door. So now I look like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber. Great.”

On the plus side, he’s got a head start on a great Halloween costume.
