David Robinson’s Son Makes Impressive TD Grab For Notre Dame (GIFs)

Corey Robinson has plenty of his famous father’s athleticism. He just uses it in a different way.

Robinson is a wide receiver at Notre Dame and the son of San Antonio Spurs legend David Robinson. The No. 5 Fighting Irish faced a huge test in No. 2 Florida State on Saturday night, and the Hall of Famer’s son brought his A-game.

With one touchdown catch already under his belt, Robinson skied into the air to snag a touchdown pass from quarterback Everett Golson and put Notre Dame up 14-7.

Corey’s father David was in attendance at Doak Campbell Stadium for the big game, and he understandably approved of his son’s efforts.

Robinson, a sophomore, already has four touchdowns on the year and looks like a promising young receiving threat for the Fighting Irish. Living up to his father’s legacy is a nearly impossible task, but at least it looks like he picked the right sport.

Robinson also scored what looked like the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds, but an offensive pass interference wiped out the score. Florida State held on for the 31-27 win.
