Fan Admits To Shining Laser Pointer In Bills Players’ Faces In Detroit

The Detroit Lions had home-field advantage Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but crowd noise wasn’t the only factor.

Bills quarterback Kyle Orton and holder Colton Schmidt both complained to the referees on separate occasions about a fan shining a laser pointer at their faces during the game at Ford Field. No action was immediately taken, but it turns out their complaints were, in fact, valid.

Rather than keep quiet, a fan decided to brag on Twitter about being the culprit.

The fan, Marko Beslach, has since deactivated his Twitter account. However, a Facebook group was assembled to attempt to ban him from attending NFL games.

Bills coach Doug Marrone informed NFL security, which reportedly is looking into the incident.

The laser pointing didn’t stop kicker Dan Carpenter from nailing a game-winning field goal in the Bills’ 17-14 victory over the Lions. Buffalo will host the New England Patriots next Sunday, and green lasers hopefully won’t be an issue there.
