Bill Belichick added to the long line of awkward news conference moments this week, and this one really took off.
Belichick’s “We’re on to Cincinnati” line, used as a deflection during a Wednesday news conference, quickly became an Internet meme this week. On Sunday, ESPN got in on the fun during the opening of “NFL Countdown.”
Comedian and ESPN contributor Frank Caliendo — a master of impersonation — opened the show with a spot-on spoof of Belichick. Dressed as and looking eerily like the curmudgeon coach, Caliendo delivered the now-famous line even as his house burned down and an earthquake rocked Foxboro.
