The Utah Jazz made anĀ important — and adorable — last-minute signing.
The team announced before its instrasquad scrimmage Monday that 5-year-old JP Gibson, who has been fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia since 2012, would sign a one-day contract and suit up for the scrimmage.
JP’s parents Josh and Megan Gibson and his 2-year-old sister Elsie joined the young “free-agent guard” as he inked his deal with Jazz president Randy Rigby.
