FOXBORO, Mass. — If it was up the fans, there wouldn’t be many Patriots in the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl.
Only tight end Rob Gronkowski, kicker Stephen Gostkowski and special-teamer Matthew Slater are among the leading vote-getters by position in the latest results released Wednesday. Tom Brady has the third most votes, but he trails Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers. Gronk is 10th overall in voting.
Pro Bowl players are determined by fans, players and coaches, all of whom decide one-third of the vote. Fans have until Dec. 15 to get their votes in at NFL.com/probowl/ballot.
It appears that Cleveland Browns fans have been voting early and often. They have eight players among leading vote-getters by position.
