Boston Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton took part in the first fight of his NHL career Wednesday night when he dropped his gloves with Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog in the third period.
Hamilton fought twice with the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL, and it took him 173 games with Boston for him to do so in the NHL.
The 21-year-old defenseman has set career highs in goals (eight) and points (26) while playing in a top-pairing role this season.
