The New England Patriots have been urged to clam up this week.

So basically, business as usual.

Patriots special-teams ace Matthew Slater told ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss that the NFL Players Association has advised the team not to talk about the DeflateGate controversy. Slater is the Patriots’ players union representative.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady addressed the media for 30 minutes Thursday about the scandal, denying any involvement. The NFL announced that it is investigating the controversy, which stems from the Patriots playing with under-inflated footballs in the first half of the AFC Championship Game.
