The New England Patriots have missed out on yet another free-agent target.

Wide receiver Stevie Johnson has agreed to a three-year contract with the San Diego Chargers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Johnson recently met with the Patriots and reportedly was deciding between the Chargers and Patriots.

Johnson is coming off his first and only season with the San Francisco 49ers. He appeared in 13 games, catching 50 passes for 435 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson spent the first six seasons of his career in Buffalo where he totaled more than 1,000 receiving yards three of those seasons.
