Robert Kraft, Woody Johnson Mum On Tampering Charges Vs. Jets

“The league” has a lot of questions to answer about the tampering charges against the New York Jets regarding Darrelle Revis.

Jets owner Woody Johnson and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft both were asked about the investigation into the tampering charges at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix on Monday, and both redirected those queries to the NFL.

“You’ll have to ask the league office,” Kraft told reporters, via the Boston Herald. “That’s something they are responsible for.”

Johnson said in December that he would “love” to have Revis back with the Jets, violating the NFL’s tampering rules. Revis signed a five-year contract with the Jets shortly after free agency began earlier this month.

“That’s something the league’s looking at,” Johnson told reporters, via Newsday’s Bob Glauber. “I’m not worried about anything.”
