BOSTON — Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli won’t start Monday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

“He’s under the weather,” Red Sox manager John Farrell said. “He’s here, he’s not completely unavailable. But he’s not capable of starting right now. He’s dealing with an illness right now.”

Daniel Nava will start at first base and bat sixth.

Napoli has struggled at the plate this season. He is batting .143 (11-for-65) with one home run and four RBIs in 18 games. He went 3 for 9 with a homer and two RBIs in two games versus the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend.
