Revs’ Juan Agudelo Gives U.S. Lead Over Mexico With Sweet Goal (Video)

The Revolution are coming.

New England’s prized 22-year old striker, Juan Agudelo, scored a beautiful, albeit a bit lucky, goal in Wednesday’s USA-Mexico friendly in San Antonio.

Agudelo took a fantastic ball from midfielder Michael Bradley and made a beautiful first touch just outside the 18-yard box. He then dribbled around a defender, planted, and fired on net.

The ball was took a lucky deflection off Mexico keeper Cirilo Saucedo and found the back of the net to give USA a two-goal lead. It was Agudelo’s first goal in international competition since 2011. Agudelo has one goal in six games this season for the Revolution.
