Tiger Woods Lets Daughter Putt For Him At Masters Par 3 Contest (Video)

On paper, Tiger Woods’ Masters Tournament weekend got off to quite the ominous start. In reality, it couldn’t have begun any better.

For the first time since 2004, Woods participated Wednesday in the historic tournament’s annual Par 3 Contest at Augusta National. In a touching moment, the 39-year-old golfer allowed his two young children, Sam and Charlie, to tag along as caddies.

Things were going swimmingly until the sixth hole, when Woods was disqualified. The reason is adorable.

In fact, Woods’ daughter Sam attempted three putts for her father on the day. Not surprisingly, she sank all three.

Woods’ girlfriend, skier Lindsey Vonn, also was in attendance, and watched Woods’ two children give him a big hug after the round was over.

How Woods will fare when the real Masters action begins Thursday remains to be seen, but it appears he already has some pretty fond memories to look back on.
