The New England Patriots released cornerback Kyle Arrington on Monday, and he’s already joined an AFC rival.
The 28-year-old defensive back agreed to a three-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, pending a physical, the team announced Wednesday.
Arrington joined the Patriots in 2009 and spent six seasons with team. He tallied nine interceptions during his time in New England, including a career-high seven picks in 2011.
The Patriots are pretty thin at cornerback on their depth chart. In addition to losing Arrington, the team also has lost veteran defensive backs Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner to free agency.
