Willie McGinest, Houston Antwine Elected Into Patriots Hall Of Fame

New England Patriots fans will have a chance to honor Willie McGinest this summer when he’s inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.

McGinest was elected into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Tuesday. The three-time Super Bowl champion is the 24th person to enter the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Defensive lineman Houston Antwine also will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame this summer. He was selected in April by the senior selection committee.

The induction ceremony, which will take place this summer at a date to be announced, is open to the public.

McGinest was the fourth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He is one of 22 Patriots three-time Super Bowl champions.

McGinest, who played defensive end and outside linebacker for the Patriots, ranks third in team history with 78 sacks. He owns the postseason record for career sacks with 16.

McGinest also recorded 484 tackles during his Patriots career and posted 16 forced fumbles and 15 fumble recoveries. He played 171 games in his 12 seasons with the Patriots, starting 146 games.
