Dustin Pedroia, Hanley Ramirez Out Vs. Braves As Red Sox Hope To End Skid

The Boston Red Sox are trying everything to get back in the win column.

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia and left fielder Hanley Ramirez will be out of the lineup Tuesday afternoon when the Red Sox take on the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park.

Brock Holt will bat leadoff and play second base in place of Pedroia, who had some strong words for the media Monday night before Boston’s 4-2 loss to Atlanta. Alejandro De Aza will fill Ramirez’s spot in left field and bat seventh.

Shortstop Xander Bogaerts represents the other notable change to the Sox’s lineup, as he’ll hit cleanup for the first time this season.

Rookie Blake Swihart will bat eighth and catch for starting pitcher Wade Miley, who will attempt to snap Boston’s seven-game losing streak.
