Keith Hernandez was a five-time All-Star during his 17-year major league career, but he’s really reaping the benefits of his legendary run on “Seinfeld.” He did unravel the mystery of The Second Spitter, after all.
Hernandez, who appeared in three episodes of the famous sitcom, told NJ.com in April he’s still receiving royalty checks from the show. Who needs baseball when you can make money doing nothing?
“It used to be almost $1,000,” said Hernandez, now a New York Mets analyst for SNY. “It diminishes as the years go by. So it gives me around $3,000 per year. I’ll take it. For doing nothing. So you can imagine what Jerry gets. The principal actors, what they get.”
We all hope to one day find ourselves in the same situation.
