Craig Biggio, Jim Rice Among Most Underrated Hall of Famers (Photos)

Debates surrounding the National Baseball Hall of Fame often involve which players do or don’t deserve to be in Cooperstown.

But there are other possible debates, including the most underrated players in the Hall.

There were plenty of conversations surrounding Craig Biggio and whether or not he deserved a spot, but the voters put that to an end when they voted him in this year.

So Biggio quickly went from being a debated candidate to one of the most overlooked players in the Hall.

Another player whose spot in the Hall was highly debated was former Boston Red Sox Jim Rice. He finally reached the 75 percent of the vote needed to get into Cooperstown in his final year of eligibility. He, too, is now one of the hidden gems in Cooperstown.

Biggio and Rice aren’t alone, though. And with the latest batch of Hall of Fame inductions taking place Sunday, now is a good time to look at some of the most underappreciated players in Cooperstown.
