Joe Kelly Leaves Start For PawSox After Being Hit By Line Drive

A Triple-A start for Boston Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly ended after just one inning Wednesday night.

According to the Pawtucket Red Sox and Express-Times reporter Greg Joyce, Kelly was struck by a line drive during the first inning of the PawSox’s matchup with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

The right-hander recorded the out on the play but then left the game and was replaced by Dalier Hinojosa.
