Major League Baseball announced Sunday the starters for the 2015 All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
The Kansas City Royals dominated the fan voting process, as they’ll have four representatives in the American League starting lineup for this season’s MLB Midsummer Classic. The St. Louis Cardinals were the only team in the National League with more than one player voted to be a starter.
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson led all players with 14,090,188 total votes. It’s the most votes received by a player in a single season in MLB history, surpassing Josh Hamilton’s 2012 all-time single-season record of 11,073,744 votes.
Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper set a new all-time NL single-season voting mark by garnering a league-best 13,864,950 votes.
