NASCAR Driver Alex Bowman’s Car Bursts Into Flames At Loudon (Video)

Alex Bowman’s No. 7 Chevrolet was in less than optimal condition Sunday during the 5-Hour Energy 301. That is, it was engulfed in flames.

Now, being on fire is typically the opposite of what a driver wants his car to be, especially if he’s in it. So once Bowman’s machine burst into flames as he exited the pit box at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, he booked it out, pronto.

The safety crew’s job, meanwhile, is to run toward the blaze rather than away from it. That didn’t work out so well for one crew member, as you can see in the video below.

Bowman was aflame, but Kyle Busch is on fire. Busch won Sunday for the third time in the last four races, continuing his dominant run with just seven races remaining before the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins.
