Jets Fans Fly ‘Cheaters Look Up!’ Banner Over Patriots Practice (Photos)

New England Patriots fans in attendance for the team’s first day of practice — and there’s a lot of them — might want to keep an eye on the sky.

According to Metro, an ambitious group of New York Jets fans plan to send an airplane with a banner over the Patriots’ practice facilities at Gillette Stadium on Thursday. The report says the banner reads “Cheaters Look Up!”

The Metro report states the group behind the banner — NYJetsFans.com — is the same group that flew banners over the Jets’ facilities last season, calling for the team to fire general manager John Idzik. The Jets later did.

“The time has come for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to start dealing with reality,” Jason Koeppel, one of the guys behind FireJohnIdzik.com, told Metro. “Sports fans are not stupid. We have seen this act before from disgraced former superstar athletes. People like Lance Armstrong and Ryan Braun who challenged the system after they got caught red handed. Ben Johnson, Marion Jones, A-Rod, Roger Clemens — the list of people who lied after they got caught cheating is sadly endless.”

Well, all right.

Here’s a look at the banner, per Metro.

The group is just the latest to poke fun at the Patriots amid the reigning Super Bowl champions’ latest controversy. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is embroiled in an ongoing war with the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell, who earlier this week upheld Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

We’ll obviously have more if and when this banner actually flies over Foxboro.

UPDATE (10:27 a.m. ET): Well, that didn’t take long. The banner is in the sky.
